Teaching Programme
Besides of the general study course in Economic Sciences, the University of Hohenheim also is offering a Bachelor and Master Degree in Health Management (with beginning of the fall term 2010/11).
A basic education in economical sciences is characteristically of the proven “Hohenheimer Modell”. It will amplify an interdisciplinary access to the specific requirements of managing medical facilities, consumer behaviour and management of insurances in both degree careers.
To impart a broadly based knowledge in Sciences of Insurance as well as a broad specification in Health Insurance as a main aim, the following courses will be offered in profile subject Health Insurance and the profile subject Insurance Management:
Profile Subject "Health Insurance" (B.Sc.):
- Risiko und Versicherung (lecture and exercise)
- Grundzüge der deutschen Krankenversicherung (lecture and exercise)
- Seminar zu ausgewählten Fragen der Krankenversicherung

"Health Care & Public Management" (M.Sc.):
Within the scope of the Hohenheimer Management Master (HMM) the chair offers several courses in the profile subjects "Core Concepts of Health Care Management" and "Advanced Topics of Health Care & Public Management" as well as in the small supplementary subject "Versicherungswirtschaft":
